Welcome

Welcome to our website!

This website is an online resource of near real-time and periodic (monthly) air quality data, not only for Mid Devon residents, but also for students and medical health professionals alike. Using the various pages and features of this site you can view and interpret almost real-time air quality data from the automatic/continuous monitoring stations located within Mid Devon at Crediton, Cullompton and Tiverton. The website also provides access to data from seventeen periodic monitoring locations updated as monthly results. Nitrogen dioxide levels are monitored at these locations using a technique called diffusion tubes.

Data from the continuous monitoring stations is uploaded hourly basis to provide the latest readings. The pollutants monitored at each location are listed under the details for each site.  Monitoring data from all sites can be plotted on a graph and printed out. Website users can register their email details and data for the selected pollutants from each site will be forwarded by email. The system can also generate email alerts if a user-selected pollutant exceeds a predefined value. This facility may be of benefit for those who are predisposed to suffer the effects of poor air quality (eg Asthma sufferers).
